Post-Future / Astana-Venice / GEN-1
Exhibition at National Museum of Kazakhstan
May 16-June 11, Astana

Project made at the Art Residency
Curated by: Danagul Tolepbay, Anvar Musrepov.
This project presents a speculative bestiary of mythological creatures transformed through the spiraling effects of time, ecological collapse, and the remnants of human influence. Rooted in Kazakh fairy tales and folklore, these beings evolve through recurring catastrophes, leaving traces across intersecting timelines and fragmented landscapes. Drawing from archaeological fragments, mythical narratives, and imagined futures, the work weaves together memory, mutation, and mythology to envision a post-human ecology where legends are reborn as living forms shaped by climate, radiation, and the collapse of civilization.
